You need to collect a total of 30 Golden Seeds in Elden Ring to get the maximum amount of Flasks (14 Flasks). If you picked the Golden Seed as your starting item, then you only need 29 of them. There are more than 30 Golden Seeds, but any you collect over you’ve gotten 30 are useless and just sit in your inventory.
This video guide below shows 30 Golden Seeds that you can find it main areas, that do not require you to do questlines or go to secret areas. This will also allow you to get the max amount of Flasks as soon as you get to the mountaintop of the giants. The Golden Seeds are used to upgrade the amount of Flask of Crimson Tears and the Flask of Cerulean Tears you can carry, to a maximum of 14.
Once you have a Golden Seed, bring it to a Site of Grace and then go to the “Flasks” section, and then “Add Charge to Flask”. The way it works is you need 1 more Golden Seed every two upgrades, so it works like 1+1+2+2+3+3+4+4+5+5 for a total of 30 Golden Seeds that you need in order to get 14 flasks. There is no trophy / achievement for getting them all, but having the maximum amount of flasks are very much needed to help against the bosses.
